• Otay…

Okay, I think I’ve got this figured out enough to start letting people know it’s out there. I got the RSS feed set up, so if you’re into Really Simple Syndication, you can add the feed to your reader. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, don’t worry about it. You can just read my posts on the site here.

So yeah. That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing lately. Though I am now uncomfortably aware of the length of my fingernails, and how they are interfering with my typing prowess… Perhaps I should cut them.

Aside from this, I’ve been working on a posting schedule, which currently looks like the intestines of a disemboweled walrus in free-fall. It’s a work in progress… Of course, that seems to be everything I’m doing lately.

Well, it’s past my bedtime, so good night all.

  • Wow.

Yeah. So I’ve been working on this site for about two days now, and while I’m amazed at the number of options, I am also flabbergasted by the difficulty I’ve been having in setting things up.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s a process. I just need to learn the ropes. However, to put this into a sports metaphor, learning the ropes of boxing is a lot more painful than learning how to, oh say…. Rappelling. In boxing, you’re going to get the pulp beat out of you, but if a rope breaks, you’re probably just going to fall on your ass and look like a twit.

In rappelling, if a rope breaks… Well let’s say there’s a double entendre in the phrase terminal velocity

Working with WordPress is more like boxing. I’m probably not going to fall to my death if I make a horrifying mistake. On the other hand, I could wind up with two black eyes, a busted lip, four missing teeth, a broken nose, a collapsed cheekbone, a broken jaw, two burst eardrums, nine broken ribs, ten broken knuckles and a severely bruised ego.

Still, if I learn something, maybe it will be worth it.

Of course, the lesson learned might be something along the lines of the advice given to the man who goes to his doctor and complains, “it hurts when I do this…”

The doctor’s advice? “Then don’t do ‘this.'”

  • Let’s see if this works…

Okay, let’s see if this works.

Success! It works! I removed some of the chaff and put /wp-includes/images/moodicons//bored.jpg into the src tag in the html. I then altered the border to allow for some padding (so the text wouldn’t be uncomfortably close to the picture…)

So let’s see if the others work…

Here’s how I look when I’ve just discovered that Fox has cancelled another Joss Whedon project.

And here’s when I’ve had just a wee bit too much sugar…

    And on Pixie SticksĀ®

So yeah. I guess it’s working now.
